RenewOps

About

Built after one too many missed renewal deadlines in Google Sheets

RenewOps started as a frustration. Contracts, licenses, vendor documents — all tracked in spreadsheets that looked organized but fell apart the moment someone missed a renewal.

The origin

Why this product exists

The problem

Managing 40+ contracts and vendor documents across a small operations team. Everything tracked in Google Sheets — expiration dates in one tab, renewal reminders in another, owners scattered across email threads.

What kept going wrong

Renewals slipped through because the spreadsheet showed the date but not the urgency. No one knew who was accountable. Reminders depended on one person remembering to check a formula column every Monday.

What we needed

A simple tool that shows what is expiring soon, who owns it, and sends reminders automatically. Not a CLM suite. Not a compliance platform. Just a clean workspace for deadline control.

What we built

RenewOps. One queue. Clear ownership. Structured status. Automatic reminders. Built for small teams that need operational control without enterprise overhead.

What RenewOps is

A focused workspace for expiration and renewal tracking
Status-first operations: Active, Expiring soon, Expired, Renewed
Owner accountability on every record
Email reminders at 30, 14, 7, and 1 day before deadlines
Built for small teams — no enterprise complexity

What RenewOps is not

Not a full contract lifecycle management suite
Not a document storage or e-signature platform
Not built for legal teams managing complex CLM workflows
Not a general project management tool

If you need a CLM suite or document storage, RenewOps is probably not the right tool. If you need a clean, fast way to stop missing renewals — it is.

How we build

Operating principles

Clarity over complexity

Every screen should make action priorities obvious. If you need training to use it, it is too complex.

Status as signal

Active, Expiring soon, Expired, and Renewed are not just labels — they are the operating queue your team works from each week.

Reminders that actually help

Reminders only work when they arrive early enough to act. The 30/14/7/1 cadence gives teams real preparation time.

Owner accountability

Every record needs one person responsible. Shared ownership is the same as no ownership when deadlines are missed.

Who uses it

Built for small operations teams

RenewOps is designed for small teams — agencies, contractors, SMB operations — where one or two people are responsible for tracking dozens of contracts, licenses, vendor documents, and other expiring records. Teams that are too small for enterprise CLM software but too large to trust a spreadsheet with a deadline that costs real money if missed.

Agencies

Client contracts and vendor policy renewals across multiple accounts

Contractors

Business licenses, crew certifications, insurance, and permits

SMB Operations

Domains, subscriptions, vendor documents, and recurring compliance records
